60% of the time it works every time. If you've been my client for a while you probably experience my trick to getting great smiles for couples portraits. I get them posed nice and close, ready for and intimate moment, then I instruct them to "Whisper in their ear what you had for breakfast in your best cookie monster voice". The reactions are always priceless. This couple totally nailed it and were such good sports. They even mentioned they should remember this trick for when they have an argument. 🤣 So there you have it. Cookie monster voices. Saving photos and marriages.

I hate that it's July and we're already getting ready for school to start, but here we are with back-to-school studio mini's. $80 for a 20 minute session and will include 5 digital images of your choice from an online gallery. Siblings/friends are welcome to join or book back-to-back. These will be available to schedule next week and all throughout the month of August. Send me a message if you're interested!

This photo of my cutie girl was also a finalist, this time in the "Children" category. It also received the most "hearts" from people voting out of any of my submissions. I almost didn't even enter this one. It's always funny to me to see what stands out to other people.

I gave the @shootandshare photo competition another chance this year after I found out they had a change in leadership. And I'm excited to post my results over the next few days starting with this one! It was a finalist in the "share joy" category.

This scene from A Goofy Movie is probably the main reason I wanted to be a photographer. While most days I'm pretty Goofy getting all the smiles, I do have moments photographing my own kids where I wish I had a Velcro pad like Pete to stick on my kid to keep them from running away.
